Vercors Downhill Race & Freeride 2025
European Downhill Championship & Eurotour at Saint-Pierre-de-Chérennes — 4–6 July 2025 (reception from 3 July). Medical certificate, national licence, or insurance required; no age limit. Longboard, roller, and street luge. Basecamp at Foyer de ski de Presles–Le Faz (parking, not a campsite). The track is not beginner-friendly.

Dates
Thursday 3 July — reception from 16:00 at the basecamp (see below) and registration.
Friday 4 – Sunday 6 July 2025 — main programme (competition + freeride as scheduled).

Housing (basecamp)
Parking at Foyer de ski de Presles – Le Faz, 38680 Presles: Google Maps
Tents, vans, and campers allowed; pets on a leash; toilets available; no showers; electricity available. This is not a campsite like previous years.
Downhill course: about 5 minutes by skate from basecamp. No parking beside the road at the hill.
Mandatory protection
During competition: full-face helmet, back protector, leather.
During freeride or staff riding: full-face helmet, back protector, knee pads, elbow pads, or leather.
Registration & pricing
Full details appear below the pricing grid on the organiser’s registration page (French copy there).
- Competition: €110 early → €130 from 24 June (late). Three days of competition and riding; no meals included; two 25 cl drinks included.
- Freeride: €100 early → €120 from 24 June (late). Three days of freeride alongside the Eurotour race; no meals; two 25 cl drinks.
- Staff rider: €45. Three days (marshal, truck driver, bar, registration, etc.). Half day of staff = half day of riding. Lunch included Friday–Sunday (lunch and dinner). Two 25 cl drinks. Staff ride after riders during qualifying and timed phases when the schedule allows (not guaranteed after every qualifying or boarder run if rotations are tight).
Foreign riders: medical certificate, national licence, or personal insurance required. No age limit.
French residents: FFRS licence, medical certificate, or insurance as stated on the French registration page.
Competitions
This leg is competition-focused (with freeride options as above).
Disciplines: longboard, roller, street luge, and adapted.
Categories
- Open — any age; men’s and women’s; every rider rides Open unless they opt out.
- Women’s
- Junior Open — under 18 in 2025 (men’s and women’s)
- Veteran Open — 35+ (born on or before 1990), men’s and women’s
A minimum of 5 entrants is required to run a category and award a podium. Qualifying: chrono; boarder-cross elimination rounds. Further details e-mailed around 20 June. No wheel restrictions.

Additional information
- No formal campsite this year — basecamp is the ski-club parking as above.
- No lunch included for riders this year (organisers apologise).
- Staff ride: half-day roles include corner marshals and/or truck driver (drivers minimum 23). Ride when you have a free slot; during race windows, riding is after the last competition riders — frequency depends on rotation speed.
- Beer at the tap: €2.50; two 25 cl free drinks for registered riders and staff.
